The multibillion-dollar Marjan Island project, offering a luxury resort experience on a manmade island off the coast of Dubai, is ready for its grand opening.

The island boasts a five-star hotel, marina and homes along with facilities for water sports and entertainment. Its location near the Palm Jumeirah makes it ideal for an experience of tranquility away from the bustling city but still close enough to be part of the action.

Man-made island in Ras Al Khaimah

The first of its kind in the Middle East, the $2bn project will be located in Ras Al Khaimah, with a planned opening date in 2026. The luxury resort will feature a large gaming area and entertainment choices such as restaurants and lounges.

Wynn Resorts, a casino company based in Las Vegas, has signed an agreement with RAK Investment Authority (RAKIA) for the development of a new integrated resort in Ras Al Khaimah. Scheduled to open in 2026, the multi-purpose resort will be the largest-of-its kind foreign direct investment in Ras Al Khaimah

Abdulla Al Abdooli, CEO of Marjan, said the new integrated resort highlights the fast-growing recognition of Ras Al Khaimah as a leading investment destination for high-quality hospitality projects.

“The integrated development, featuring a world-class hotel, entertainment, and gaming amenities, will add to the Emirate’s destination strategy to attract tourists from across the world which is reported by Khaleej Times.

He also said that “We are partnering with Wynn Resorts, one of the world’s most renowned integrated resort companies, which has a strong track record of developing luxury destinations with exceptional accommodation, dining, entertainment concepts and gaming facilities.”
